Pakistan China business ties get fresh boost

April 09, 2026 (MLN): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday met a four-member delegation led by Jin Yongsheng, Chairman of Service Long March Tyres (Private) Limited, to discuss investment expansion and strengthening business ties between Pakistan and China.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan is working on a priority basis to further expand business-to-business (B2B) relations with China, highlighting the government’s commitment to fostering deeper economic cooperation between the two countries, according according to updates shared on his official social media channels.
He stated that the Government of Pakistan is focused on building a sustainable, transparent, and facilitative investment ecosystem aimed at attracting foreign investors and ensuring long-term economic stability.
Shehbaz Sharif noted that under the platform of the Special
Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), comprehensive measures are being taken
to provide maximum support and ease of doing business for investors across
various sectors.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of joint
ventures like Service Long March, terming them crucial for economic growth in
both Pakistan and China.
He added that such collaborations contribute to job
creation, promote technology transfer, and enhance export potential.
Chairman Jin Yongsheng appreciated Pakistan’s
investor-friendly policies and the government’s ongoing economic reforms,
expressing confidence in the country’s investment climate.
The Prime Minister was also briefed on the company’s
upcoming investment plans in Pakistan, signaling continued expansion and
strengthening of industrial cooperation between the two nations.
