February 11, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan and China have achieved fresh substantive outcomes in livestock and agricultural cooperation, injecting new momentum into bilateral industry development in line with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) 2.0 initiative.

The progress follows a January 19–24 visit to Pakistan held in conjunction with the 2026 China-Pakistan Agriculture Investment Conference.

During the trip, Jinan Animal Husbandry Industry Craftsman College signed two key cooperation documents with Pakistani partners, including the Pak-China Joint Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PCJCCI) and GO DAIRY Private Limited, APP reported.

The agreements pave the way for the joint establishment of a China-Pakistan Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Industry Technology Cooperation Center, which will focus on technological research and development, industry standard-setting and customized talent training.

A separate memorandum with GO DAIRY Private Limited centers on the transfer of sheep in-vitro fertilization and dairy cow breeding technologies, alongside tailored technical solutions and on-site expert guidance to address breeding bottlenecks faced by the company.

Consensus was also reached with the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) on co-developing curricula and building a joint training base to strengthen vocational education and professional skills in the livestock sector.

To sustain follow-up cooperation, a comprehensive and systematic promotion plan has been formulated.

The college plans to establish a dedicated China-Pakistan Animal Husbandry Cooperation Center and introduce regular communication mechanisms with Pakistani counterparts to ensure efficient coordination and implementation of all projects.

In core technology research, both countries will jointly prioritize three areas  Himalayan pink salt application, sheep in-vitro fertilization and dairy cow breeding and co-establish a joint laboratory aimed at enhancing technology localization and practical industrial application.
