Pakistan Cables signs BOO agreement for 7.5 MW wind power project

August 19, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan Cables Limited (PSX:PCAL) has entered into a Build, Own and Operate (BOO) Agreement with Burj Clean Energy Modaraba for a 7.5 MW wind power project, to be installed at the Company's manufacturing facility in Nooriabad, Sindh.

In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) under Clause 5.6.1(a) of the PSX Rule Book and Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015, the Company stated that the agreement is in furtherance of its ongoing commitment to increasing the use of clean and renewable energy, reducing its reliance on fossil fuel-based energy, and lowering energy costs.

In connection with the project, Habib Bank Limited (HBL) has extended a project financing facility to the Modaraba.

The project represents an important step towards the Modaraba’s commitment to promoting clean and renewable energy solutions and supporting the transition towards sustainable power generation in Pakistan.

Under the BOO arrangement, the Modaraba will develop, own and operate the wind power project, providing renewable energy to Pakistan Cables Limited.

The information was disseminated through a notification to the Exchange.
