July 24, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan and Australia have reaffirmed the importance of dialogue, diplomacy, and adherence to international law as the foundation for ensuring sustainable peace, regional stability, and global security.

The understanding was reached during a meeting between Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Australia's Foreign Minister Senator Penny Wong on the sidelines of the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) 2026 in Manila.

The two sides reviewed the state of bilateral relations and expressed their commitment to expanding cooperation through continued high-level engagements and closer collaboration across areas of mutual interest, according to Radio Pakistan.

They also exchanged views on key regional and global developments, expressing concern over recent tensions and emphasizing the need for peaceful resolution of disputes through diplomatic means.

During the meeting, Senator Wong acknowledged Pakistan's constructive efforts in encouraging dialogue and supporting initiatives aimed at reducing regional tensions and fostering stability.
