PSX to remain closed on August 26 for Eid Milad-un-Nabi

August 21, 2026 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will remain closed on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, in observance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (12th Rabi-ul-Awal).

According to a holiday circular issued by the exchange’s Trading & TREC Affairs Department (Ref No. PSX/N-1023), all operational trading, clearing, and settlement activities will be suspended for the day.

"All TRE Certificate Holders, staff, and concerned are hereby informed that Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited will remain closed on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi," stated the notification signed by PSX Chief Operating Officer Jawad H. Hashmi.

Copies of the notification were dispatched to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), the Central Depository Company (CDC), and the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL).

Regular equity trading and market operations will resume on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
