PSX to conduct 32nd GIS auction

March 18, 2026 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) is to conduct the 32nd primary market auction of Government of Pakistan Ijarah Sukuk (GIS), which notably includes the country’s inaugural Green Sukuk auction.

Scheduled for Thursday, March 26, 2026, the auction will be conducted through the PSX Auction System from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The government aims to raise a total of Rs250 billion, targeting50 billion for each of the five Shariah-compliant instruments offered. These instruments include a fresh 1-year discounted issue, alongside 3 and 5-year fixed rental rate options, a 10-year fixed rate zero-coupon bond, and a 10-year variable rental rate Sukuk.

Market participants, including Broker Clearing Members and professional clearing members, must ensure all administrative and investor mapping tasks are completed by March 24, 2026.

A 10% advance committed amount is required from BCM participants, which must be deposited via the NCSS terminal by 11:00 a.m. on the day preceding the auction.

Successful bids will be settled on Friday, March 27, 2026, and all issued securities will be 100% SLR eligible and tradable on the PSX.

This diverse offering is open to a wide range of investors, including individuals, institutions, and Roshan Digital Account holders.
