PSX rebalances Alfalah Consumer Index

October 07, 2026 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has
rebalanced the Alfalah Consumer Index (ACI), revising the weights of its 20
constituents, with the changes taking effect from Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
Pakistan State Oil, Millat Tractors
and Lucky Cement carry the maximum weight of 10% each, together making up 30%
of the index.
According to notice PSX/N-1226 dated
October 6, the exchange carried out the exercise as of September 30, 2026,
following the index rules available on its website.
Fauji Cement follows at 8.96%, then
Maple Leaf Cement Factory at 8.69% and D.G. Khan Cement at 8.34%, which means
four of the six heaviest names are cement companies.
Sazgar Engineering Works carries 7.15%,
Interloop 5.39% and The Searle Company 4.65%, while Sui Northern Gas Pipelines
holds 4.61%.
At the lower end, Gul Ahmed Textile
Mills has a weight of 0.75% and Crescent Steel & Allied Products 0.63%.
