PSX issues notice for renewal of securities broker licenses

September 23, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has directed all securities brokers to submit renewal applications for their licenses for the year 2026 by Monday, November 3, 2025.

In a notice issued Tuesday, PSX highlighted that under Regulation No. 9 of the Securities Brokers (Licensing and Operations) Regulations, 2016, brokers are required to apply for renewal of their licenses, which are currently valid until December 31, 2025.

The applications, once scrutinized by PSX, will be forwarded to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) within the prescribed timeline

To complete the process, brokers must submit:

• Application form for license renewal.
• Undertaking of compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Original bank receipt of the renewal fee.
• Certified copies of Forms A, 9, and 19.
• Evidence of latest audited financial statements filed with SECP.
• Valid IFMP certification (PMR, FCM, SBC).
• Proof of filing latest periodic returns, including AML and BLASRS reports

The renewal fee has been set at Rs. 50,000 for regular brokers and Rs. 25,000 for “Online Only” brokers, as per Schedule I of the regulations.

This renewal cycle ensures continuity of brokerage operations and regulatory compliance across Pakistan’s capital markets.
