PSX inducts 3 Meezan funds for GoP Sukuk proprietary trading

September 4, 2026 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has inducted three Meezan-managed mutual funds as trading participants for proprietary trading in Government of Pakistan (GoP) Sukuk, following SECP's approval allowing Commercial Banks and Mutual Funds that are Debt Market Clearing Members (DMCMs) of the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) to act as trading participants for GoP Sukuk proprietary trading.

The inducted mutual funds include CDC Trustee Meezan Islamic Asaan Cash Fund, CDC Trustee Meezan Daily Income Fund Meezan Munafa Plan-I, and CDC Trustee Meezan Government Securities Fund Meezan Government Securities Plan-I.

The induction follows completion of the necessary documentary, operational, and technical requirements after applications were received from the respective institutions, according to PSX notice.

Under the mechanism, the inducted trading participants will be eligible to trade in GoP Sukuk issued through primary market auctions at PSX for their proprietary account only, while trading in other fixed income securities available in the Bills and Bonds (BnB) market, including Corporate Debt Securities and Government Debt Securities, will not be allowed.
