PSX Mid-Day: Breaking the 190K Barrier

January 26, 2026 (MLN):The Pakistan Stock Exchange surged past a new milestone, with the KSE-100 Index crossing the 190,000 mark for the first time.
The index reached a mid-day high of 191,032.73, up 1,865.91 points, which reflects lively trading activity, with 175.71 million shares exchanged.
The gains are supported by expectations of a policy rate cut by the State Bank of Pakistan, which would bring the benchmark rate down, amid easing inflation, a stable external account, and improving industrial growth.
Top gainers during mid-day were JVDC (+8.50%), SAZEW (+6.83%), PTC (+4.32%), DHPL (+3.79%), and APL (+3.47%).
