August 13, 2026 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed Thursday's session marginally lower as profit-taking and selling pressure in commercial banks, investment companies, technology, and oil & gas exploration stocks outweighed gains in fertilizer, leather, and refinery stocks.

Investor sentiment remained cautious as oil prices climbed amid fresh attacks on vessels in the Gulf of Oman and Red Sea, heightening concerns over potential disruptions to global crude supplies. A major oil spill off Oman, which continued to spread, added to supply-side concerns and geopolitical uncertainty.

The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Thursday's trading session at 180,104.61, showing a decrease of 206.60 points or 0.11%.
