PSX Closing Bell: On the Up and Up

June 10, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Tuesday's trading session at 122,024.44, showing an increase of 383.44 points or 0.32%.

The index traded in a range of 1,021.63 points showing an intraday high of 122,611.53 (+970.53) and a low of 121,589.90 (-51.10) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 235.30 million shares. 

Of the 100 index companies 46 closed up, 52 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were PKGP (+10.00%), AGP (+6.04%), NATF (+3.90%), INIL (+3.73%), and GLAXO (+3.58%).

On the other hand, top losers were KEL (-3.60%), LUCK (-1.92%), HUMNL (-1.72%), TRG (-1.59%), and LOTCHEM (-1.55%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were FFC (+174.18pts), PKGP (+103.13pts), BAHL (+100.95pts), MEBL (+81.32pts), and BAFL (+39.64pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were LUCK (-96.71pts), ENGROH (-63.14pts), EFERT (-27.73pts), PPL (-24.16pts), and KEL (-19.39pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Commercial Banks (+253.39pts), Fertilizer (+146.47pts), Pharmaceuticals (+82.46pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+64.19pts), and Engineering (+23.83pts).

While the index was let down by Cement (-78.80pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-66.20pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-25.15pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-21.97pts), and Chemical (-9.97pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 76,160.77 with a net gain of 209.07 points or 0.28%.

Total market volume was 592.95 million shares compared to 854.62m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs21.83 billion showing a decrease of Rs3.97bn.

There were 304,723 trades reported in 473 companies with 230 closing up, 200 closing down, and 43 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 43,579 points or 55.55% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 6,898 points or 5.99% so far this calendar year.
