June 30, 2026 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) staged a strong recovery on Tuesday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index climbing nearly 1,900 points as investor confidence improved on easing geopolitical concerns, relatively stable global oil prices and renewed buying in heavyweight fertilizer and banking stocks.
The benchmark KSE-100 Index settled at 180,301.70, up 1,886.91 points or 1.06% from the previous close.
The index remained in positive territory throughout the trading session, touching an intraday high of 180,150.41, up 1,735.62 points, while the day's low stood at 179,020.10, still 605.31 points above the previous close.

Market sentiment was supported by optimism that diplomatic efforts to ease tensions in the Middle East would help reduce regional uncertainty, while relatively stable international oil prices encouraged investors to return to equities.
The positive outlook surrounding Pakistan's economic reforms and expectations of improved corporate earnings also fueled broad-based buying, particularly in fertilizer, banking, cement and power stocks.

Market breadth remained firmly positive, with 66 index companies closing higher and 34 ending lower.
