October 27, 2026 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index extended its winning streak on Tuesday, gaining 1,428.74 points or 0.88% to close at 164,467.20, as broad-based buying across heavyweight sectors lifted market sentiment amid softer oil prices.

Crude prices edged lower as renewed diplomatic efforts to resolve the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran helped ease fears of prolonged supply disruptions.

However, fresh attacks on Saudi Arabia kept oil prices near six-month highs, leaving geopolitical risks in focus. The modest retreat in crude provided some relief to investors, supporting buying interest across key sectors.

The index remained in positive territory throughout the session, touching an intraday high of 164,787.67, up 1,749.21 points, while its low stood at 163,545.69, reflecting a gain of 507.23 points.
