February 04, 2026 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Wednesday's trading session at 187,832.08, showing an increase of 931.35 points or 0.50%.

The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 188,312.20 (+1,411.47) and a low of 187,018.69 (+117.96) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 767.51 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 49 closed up, 49 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were KEL (+13.06%), HMB (+4.85%), SRVI (+3.60%), MEBL (+3.25%), and NBP (+3.04%).

On the other hand, top losers were ILP (-3.47%), NML (-1.99%), TRG (-1.82%), INIL (-1.50%), and LOTCHEM (-1.42%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were MEBL (+246.62pts), ENGROH (+150.81pts), NBP (+145.81pts), UBL (+102.75pts), and HMB (+93.62pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were SYS (-58.09pts), EFERT (-45.40pts), PPL (-45.36pts), ILP (-31.25pts), and SAZEW (-21.92pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Commercial Banks (+837.16pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+151.17pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+90.53pts), Leather & Tanneries (+51.84pts), and Cement (+43.93pts).

While the index was let down by Technology & Communication (-78.45pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-60.73pts), Textile Composite (-55.70pts), Fertilizer (-38.86pts), and Automobile Assembler (-15.11pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 112,851.69 with a net gain of 697.08 points or 0.62%.

Total market volume was 1,195.26 million shares compared to 848.56m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs44.10 billion showing a decrease of Rs5.92bn.

There were 413,801 trades reported in 481 companies with 245 closing up, 187 closing down, and 49 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 62,205 points or 49.52% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 13,778 points or 7.92% so far this calendar year.
