August 04, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Monday's trading session at 142,052.64, showing an increase of 1,017.66 points or 0.72%.

The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 142,323.34 (+1,288.36) and a low of 141,440.48 (+405.50) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 349.23 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 54 closed up, 46 closed down, while 0 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were FHAM (+6.66%), TRG (+5.95%), AGL (+5.67%), CHCC (+5.64%), and DGKC (+4.78%).

On the other hand, top losers were PKGP (-6.97%), BNWM (-5.49%), THALL (-3.35%), TPLRF1 (-2.71%), and MEHT (-2.54%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were LUCK (+179.31pts), BAHL (+147.26pts), HUBC (+130.87pts), HBL (+130.87pts), and SYS (+127.27pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were PKGP (-51.56pts), ENGROH (-41.56pts), PPL (-40.51pts), EFERT (-32.95pts), and MARI (-25.86pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Cement (+426.01pts), Commercial Banks (+260.79pts), Technology & Communication (+179.79pts), Fertilizer (+87.92pts), and Power Generation & Distribution (+80.68pts).

While the index was let down by Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-39.79pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-33.56pts), Automobile Parts & Accessories (-21.03pts), Real Estate Investment Trust (-19.94pts), and Textile Composite (-15.56pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 87,831.79 with a net gain of 513.56 points or 0.59%.

Total market volume was 666.37 million shares compared to 609.71m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs42.92 billion showing a decrease of Rs7.63bn.

There were 365,805 trades reported in 482 companies with 247 closing up, 206 closing down, and 29 remaining unchanged.
