PSX Closing Bell: Bulls Inch Ahead

November 12, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Wednesday's trading session at 158,183.94, showing an increase of 313.44 points or 0.20%.

The index traded in a range of 2,312.87 points showing an intraday high of 159,516.41 (+1,645.91) and a low of 157,203.54 (-666.96) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 217.77 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 45 closed up, 54 closed down, while 1 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were KTML (+9.99%), FHAM (+8.15%), PSEL (+6.80%), BNWM (+6.49%), and LOTCHEM (+5.41%).

On the other hand, top losers were PGLC (-4.91%), MEHT (-3.14%), TGL (-2.45%), SSGC (-2.20%), and SEARL (-2.03%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were FFC (+518.13pts), PSEL (+92.35pts), PPL (+67.46pts), UBL (+56.11pts), and KTML (+43.83pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were LUCK (-93.99pts), HBL (-73.13pts), SYS (-69.05pts), OGDC (-67.22pts), and HUBC (-54.11pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Fertilizer (+548.97pts), Miscellaneous (+113.13pts), Textile Composite (+34.00pts), Paper, Board & Packaging (+18.87pts), and Engineering (+14.20pts).

While the index was let down by Cement (-116.26pts), Technology & Communication (-71.96pts), Power Generation & Distribution (-68.93pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-63.55pts), and Automobile Assembler (-36.76pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 49,704.25 with a net gain of 98.49 points or 0.20%.

Total market volume was 757.24 million shares compared to 836.43m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs33.41 billion showing a decrease of Rs4.66bn.

There were 331,073 trades reported in 480 companies with 188 closing up, 235 closing down, and 57 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 32,557 points or 25.92% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 43,057 points or 37.40% so far this calendar year.
