September 17, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan’s benchmark KSE-100 Index recovered strongly on Thursday, gaining 1,021.39 points or 0.61% to close at 169,043.19, as broad-based buying in exploration, banking and cement stocks lifted investor sentiment.

The positive momentum came amid a decline in oil prices as concerns over potential supply disruptions eased after Saudi Arabia began arranging alternative crude shipments following attacks on its key East-West pipeline. The easing supply concerns provided some relief to investors and supported risk appetite at the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
