February 18, 2026 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Wednesday's trading session at 178,853.09, showing an increase of 5,702.68 points or 3.29%.

The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 178,974.16 (+5,823.75) and a low of 174,328.61 (+1,178.20) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 424.99 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 91 closed up, 7 closed down, 1 were unchanged, while 1 remained untraded.

Top gainers during the day were SSGC (+10.01%), THALL (+10.00%), SSOM (+10.00%), HBL (+10.00%), and PTC (+9.94%).

On the other hand, top losers were PIOC (-9.51%), AICL (-2.81%), POL (-1.01%), BNWM (-0.90%), and GADT (-0.09%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were UBL (+1002.67pts), HBL (+600.21pts), MEBL (+422.33pts), NBP (+370.19pts), and MCB (+303.81pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were PIOC (-108.86pts), POL (-28.10pts), AICL (-26.10pts), PABC (-0.17pts), and UNITY (-0.12pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Commercial Banks (+3542.59pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+358.77pts), Fertilizer (+254.02pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+250.87pts), and Cement (+227.08pts).

While the index was let down by Insurance (-26.10pts), Woollen (-0.10pts), Textile Spinning (-0.07pts), Synthetic & Rayon (+0.00pts), and Leasing Companies (+0.02pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 107,335.86 with a net gain of 2,972.30 points or 2.85%.

Total market volume was 697.68 million shares compared to 716.04m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs49.99 billion showing an increase of Rs9.52bn.

There were 355,517 trades reported in 484 companies with 334 closing up, 103 closing down, and 47 remaining unchanged.
