September 03, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan’s benchmark KSE-100 Index closed Thursday’s trading session at 174,929.68, gaining 153.09 points or 0.09%, as selective buying in cement, investment companies and fertilizer stocks helped the market recover from the previous session’s sharp decline.
The index remained positive throughout the day, hitting an intraday high of 175,796.24, up 1,019.65 points, while the low stood at 174,893.67, up 117.08 points.
The total volume of the KSE-100 Index stood at 192.17 million shares.
The modest recovery was driven by renewed buying interest in select index-heavy stocks, particularly across the cement and financial sectors, as investors picked up beaten-down positions following Wednesday’s broad-based sell-off. Improved risk appetite helped the index hold onto gains despite continued weakness in oil and power stocks.
Of the 100 index companies, 57 closed up, 42 closed down, while 1 remained unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were PGLC (+9.99%), PAEL (+3.55%), ISL (+2.75%), JVDC (+2.49%), and ILP (+2.14%).
On the other hand, top losers were BNWM (-2.75%), SRVI (-2.23%), PSEL (-2.08%), ATRL (-1.85%), and SNGP (-1.59%).
