August 28, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan’s benchmark KSE-100 Index closed Friday’s trading session higher by 373.73 points or 0.21% at 177,696.50, as buying in commercial banks and technology stocks helped the index finish in positive territory despite broader market weakness.

The index traded in a range of 877.51 points, hitting an intraday high of 178,042.78, up 720.01 points, while the low stood at 177,165.27, down 157.50 points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 304.87 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies, 38 closed up, 58 closed down, while 4 remained unchanged.

On the other hand, top losers were SRVI (-4.23%), ISL (-3.88%), HUMNL (-2.52%), GHGL (-2.20%), and SSOM (-1.97%).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 107,705.17 with a net gain of 159.56 points or 0.15%.

Total market volume rose to 658.33 million shares compared to 614.06m in the previous session, while traded value was recorded at Rs31.45bn, showing a decrease of Rs3.09bn.
