October 09, 2026 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Friday's trading session at 167,089.27, showing a decrease of 352.63 points or 0.21%.

The index traded in a range of 1,296.40 points showing an intraday high of 168,134.12 (+692.22) and a low of 166,837.72 (-604.18) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 109.91 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 50 closed up, 48 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.

Top losers during the day were PGLC (-9.97%), JDWS (-4.01%), SCBPL (-2.66%), PTC (-2.08%), and MUREB (-1.99%).

On the other hand, top gainers were TPLRF1 (+7.65%), SSOM (+2.25%), PSEL (+2.08%), HALEON (+1.74%), and KEL (+1.51%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were HBL (-85.22pts), UBL (-74.52pts), MCB (-71.70pts), OGDC (-58.05pts), and FFC (-44.86pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were EFERT (+33.21pts), TPLRF1 (+31.20pts), ENGROH (+22.40pts), PSEL (+22.30pts), and POL (+21.96pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Commercial Banks (-277.13pts), Cement (-51.26pts), Technology & Communication (-40.12pts), Fertilizer (-38.54pts), and Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-25.42pts).

While the index was supported by Real Estate Investment Trust (+35.14pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+29.38pts), Miscellaneous (+26.30pts), Pharmaceuticals (+19.36pts), and Power Generation & Distribution (+18.42pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 101,117.39 with a net loss of 155.10 points or 0.15%.

Total market volume was 309.41 million shares compared to 365.87m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs15.44 billion showing a decrease of Rs2.28bn.

There were 232,559 trades reported in 497 companies with 243 closing up, 203 closing down, and 51 remaining unchanged.
