July 24, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Thursday's trading session at 138,692.66, showing a decrease of 561.69 points or 0.40%.

The index traded in a range of 1,253.73 points showing an intraday high of 139,867.82 (+613.47) and a low of 138,614.09 (-640.26) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 272.66 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 34 closed up, 64 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.

Top losers during the day were AGL (-5.22%), ABL (-4.43%), HCAR (-3.87%), BNWM (-3.46%), and GADT (-3.11%).

On the other hand, top gainers were UPFL (+10.00%), FHAM (+9.99%), NESTLE (+5.04%), BOP (+4.23%), and HGFA (+3.94%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were FFC (-154.74pts), HBL (-122.61pts), ENGROH (-89.55pts), MARI (-80.29pts), and EFERT (-56.05pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were HUBC (+94.42pts), MCB (+58.11pts), SYS (+51.66pts), UPFL (+31.85pts), and NESTLE (+28.64pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Fertilizer (-223.17pts), Commercial Banks (-170.83pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-117.11pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-87.30pts), and Cement (-66.11pts).

While the index was supported by Power Generation & Distribution (+112.59pts), Food & Personal Care Products (+59.10pts), Technology & Communication (+40.84pts), Glass & Ceramics (+18.73pts), and Refinery (+18.44pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 85,794.52 with a net loss of 109.75 points or 0.13%.

Total market volume was 648.80 million shares compared to 656.64m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs28.12 billion showing a decrease of Rs3.98bn.

There were 328,928 trades reported in 482 companies with 180 closing up, 273 closing down, and 29 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 13,065 points or 10.40% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 23,566 points or 20.47% so far this calendar year.
