POL gas flow surges at Kohat well

March 27, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan Oilfields Limited (PSX: POL) reported successful appraisal of gas and condensate from the Lumshiwal Formation in the Bilitang-1 ST-1 exploratory well, located in district Kohat.

The well flowed 26.5 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMscf/d) at a 32/64” fixed choke size, with a wellhead flowing pressure of 4,214 psi, indicating strong reservoir performance from the Lumshiwal Formation.

The pre-commerciality working interest of Pakistan Oilfields Limited in the discovery stands at 25%, highlighting its stake in the development potential of the block.
