PKR rises by 4 paisa per USD

September 30, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistani rupee (PKR) rose by 3.66 paisa or 0.01% against the US dollar in Tuesday's interbank session to settle the trade at PKR 281.32 per USD, compared to previous closing of 281.35.

Throughout the day, the currency saw an intraday high (bid) of 281.40 and a low (ask) of 281.30.

In the open market, exchange companies quoted the dollar at 281.80 for buying and 282.40 for selling.

In comparison to major currencies, PKR fell 74.48 paisa or 0.23% against the Euro, closing at 330.39 compared to the previous value of 329.65.

Against the British Pound, PKR weakened by 44.31 paisa or 0.12% to 378.30 compared to 377.86 a day ago.

The local unit fell 46.40 paisa or 0.13% against Swiss franc to close at 353.44.

Against the Japanese Yen, PKR's value deteriorated 0.69 paisa or 0.36% to close the session at 1.9000 versus 1.8931 a day ago.

Pakistani Rupee increased 1.51 paisa or 0.04% against Chinese Yuan to close at 39.50 from 39.52.

The local currency strengthened by 0.58 paisa or 0.01% against Saudi Riyal to 75.01. While it gained by 1.10 paisa or 0.01% against the U.A.E Dirham to close at 76.59.

During the current fiscal year, PKR has rose against the US Dollar by 2.45 rupees or 0.87%. While it has weakened 2.77 rupees or 0.98% so far this calendar year.
