PKR remains flat against USD

November 12, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistani rupee (PKR) rose by 0.28 paisa against the US dollar in Wednesday's interbank session to settle the trade at PKR 280.77 per USD, compared to previous closing of 280.78.

Throughout the day, the currency saw an intraday high (bid) of 281.40 and a low (ask) of 281.80.

In the open market, exchange companies quoted the dollar at 281.50 for buying and 281.85 for selling.

In comparison to major currencies, PKR fell 51.62 paisa or 0.16% against the Euro, closing at 325.15 compared to the previous value of 324.63.

Against the British Pound, PKR deteriorated by 44.56 paisa or 0.12% to 369.12 compared to 368.67 a day ago.

The local unit deteriorated 1.68 rupees or 0.48% against Swiss franc to close at 351.05.

Against the Japanese Yen, PKR's value appreciated 0.50 paisa or 0.27% to close the session at 1.8155 versus 1.8205 a day ago.

Pakistani Rupee fell 1.48 paisa or 0.04% against Chinese Yuan to close at 39.44 from 39.43.

The local currency weakened by 0.13 paisa or 0.00% against Saudi Riyal to 74.86. While it depreciated by 0.03 paisa or 0.00% against the U.A.E Dirham to close at 76.44.

During the current fiscal year, PKR has rose against the US Dollar by 2.99 rupees or 1.07%. While it has fell 2.22 rupees or 0.79% so far this calendar year.

In the Money Market, the benchmark 6 Month Karachi Interbank Bid and Offer rates unchanged by 0bps to 10.94% and 11.19%.
