PIACL Privatisation: AKD Group joins AHCL-led consortium

November 10, 2025 (MLN): The privatisation process of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL) has gained momentum as AKD Group, through its subsidiary AKD Group Holdings (Private) Limited, has joined the consortium led by Arif Habib Corporation Limited (PSX:AHCL) , the company's filing on PSX revealed today.

The consortium now comprises AHCL, Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited, City School (Private) Limited, Lake City Holdings (Private) Limited, and AKD Group Holdings (Private) Limited.

AHCL stated that the inclusion of AKD Group,  a leading financial institution with interests in venture capital, real estate development, oil and gas, and technology  further strengthens the consortium as it proceeds through the due diligence phase of the transaction.

The consortium remains actively engaged with the Privatisation Commission of Pakistan and other stakeholders to complete the due diligence process.

AHCL reaffirmed its commitment to timely disclosure of all material and price-sensitive information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
