PABC warns of potential sales impact as Pak-Afghan border closed

October 15, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan Aluminium Beverage Cans Limited (PABC) has cautioned that the complete closure of Pak-Afghan border crossings for commercial activities due to "current tensions and hostilities along the border" may affect its sales performance in the region.

In a letter dated October 15, 2025, the company apprised the PSX and its stakeholders of recent developments affecting Pak-Afghan trade routes.

PABC noted that its established trade connections with partners in Afghanistan and Central Asia are an integral part of its "diverse sales activities".

The disclosure stated that if the border closure persists, it "may present some considerations for our sales performance in these areas".

PABC, represented by Company Secretary Sohail Akhtar Gogal, affirmed that the company is "attentively following the situation", with an ongoing focus on upholding the trust of its shareholders and clients.

Further communications will be shared upon any noteworthy progress.

The closure of the key trade routes follows reports of heightened tensions and clashes along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, which have led to the suspension of all commercial activity at the crossings.
