PABC approves Rs621m acquisition in Alfalah Agri-Cultivation Fund

December 09, 2025 (MLN):  Pakistan Aluminium Beverage Cans Limited (PSX:PABC) has approved the acquisition of 60% of the units of Alfalah Agri-Cultivation Fund – I, a private equity fund, from Liberty Mills Limited, an associate of PABC, for Rs 621m.

The Fund is engaged in modern, mechanized, and sustainable corporate farming initiatives in Pakistan, the company's filing on PSX revealed today. 

Its investment in Terra Crop Innovations (Pvt) Ltd a project located in the Cholistan Desert is expected to contribute to enhanced food security, increased agricultural exports, and import substitution.

Completion of the transaction will follow customary procedures, and the Board has authorized the Company’s representatives to undertake all necessary steps for its execution.

For context, the Company had earlier, on 30 October 2025, disclosed the Board’s approval of plans to establish a new beverage can manufacturing facility in Afghanistan.

The production capacity of which was of 1.3 billion cans and an estimated capital expenditure of approximately $110 million, subject to required regulatory and customary approvals.

These decisions reflect continued progress on the Company’s strategic roadmap.
