Otsuka Pakistan board approves restructuring of Hub facilities

October 28, 2026 (MLN): Otsuka Pakistan Limited’s (PSX:OTSU)
board has approved the restructuring of its manufacturing facilities at Hub,
Balochistan, under which production of its 1,000 ml products will move from
Production Line-II to Production Line-I from January 1, 2027, leaving Line-II
closed and its filling machinery, carrying an amount of about Rs81mn, idle.
The board approved the move at its
meeting on October 28, 2026, in a disclosure of material information to the
Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The facilities are located at F/4-9,
Hub Industrial Trading Estate, Hub, Lasbella.
The company also plans to transfer and
sell the authorizations, product registrations, technical information and,
where applicable, inventory for its ampoule products, namely Dextrose 25%,
Potassium Chloride and Meylon.
It will take all required steps and
approvals at the appropriate time, and will start the due diligence process for
potential purchasers in due course.
The nine products moving to Line-I,
all in 1,000 mL packs, are listed below.
