OGRA disburses Rs38bn in PDC to OMCs

April 20, 2026 (MLN): Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has disbursed approximately Rs38 billion in Price Differential Claims (PDC) to 34 Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) as part of the federal government’s decision to keep fuel prices at affordable levels.

The authority said it implemented the government’s directive through a structured mechanism, developed with federal concurrence, to enhance transparency, efficiency, and timeliness in the verification and release of claims.

The framework enables a systematic evaluation process, allowing for quicker settlement of legitimate and eligible PDCs while maintaining financial discipline, according to a press release by OGRA.

OGRA reiterated its commitment to supporting government efforts aimed at stabilizing petroleum prices, while also protecting the interests of stakeholders across the oil supply chain.
