OGDC's entire BESOS trust shareholding transferred back to GoP

July 09, 2026 (MLN): The entire shareholding of 432,189,039 ordinary shares of Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (PSX:OGDC), held under the Benazir Employees Stock Option Scheme (BESOS) Employees Empowerment Trust, has been transferred back to the Government of Pakistan (GoP), pursuant to the Supreme Court's decision.

Following the transfer, the GoP's direct shareholding in the company has increased from 67.48% to 77.53%.

The transfer was executed, bringing the cumulative shares held by the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to 3,334,337,220, representing 77.53% of the company.
