OGDC brings Sahito-1 discovery well into production

June 23, 2026 (MLN): Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (PSX:OGDC) has
successfully commenced gas production from the Sahito-1 discovery well in the
Khewari Exploration License, located in District Khairpur, Sindh Province.
The well is currently producing 6.0 MMSCFD of gas, with output expected
to be progressively ramped up following the planned expansion of surface
facilities, according to the company’s filing on PSX.
To facilitate early monetization of the discovery, OGDC has laid a
6-inch, 5 km flowline connecting the well to the Suleman Gathering Facility for
onward processing at the Sinjhoro Plant, with processed gas being injected into
the SSGCL network.
OGDC, as Operator of the Khewari Exploration License, holds a 75% working
interest in the joint venture, while Government Holdings (Private) Limited
(GHPL) holds the remaining 25%.
The development follows OGDCL's earlier disclosure dated March 26, 2026,
regarding the gas discovery at Sahito-1 from the Lower Goru Formation (Massive
Sand) in the Khewari Exploration License.
