January 20, 2026 (MLN): Cement prices in Pakistan’s North region have risen sharply, triggering concern among builders, contractors, and consumers.

Rates have increased by around Rs35 to Rs50 per bag across different parts of the North, according to dealers contacted by Mettis Global, showing a sudden upward adjustment in the market

The revised prices have taken effect on dispatches from today, 20 January 2026.

Dealers and distributors have adjusted wholesale and retail rates accordingly, passing on the increase across the supply chain.

The price hike is expected to add pressure on construction costs in the North region, particularly for ongoing housing and infrastructure projects.
