Nishat Chunian profit jumps 13x in Q1FY26

October 29, 2025 (MLN): Nishat Chunian Limited (PSX: NCL) reported a profit after tax of Rs516.16m for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, showing a remarkable surge of 1,303% compared to Rs36.78m recorded in the same period last year.
The company’s earnings per share (EPS) rose sharply
to Rs2.15, up 1,333% from Rs0.15 in the corresponding
quarter of 2024.
During the quarter, revenue slightly decreased by 1.64%
to Rs22.94bn, compared to Rs23.33bn in the same period last year.
However, cost of sales dropped by 4.06% to Rs20.29bn,
driving gross profit up 21.87% to Rs2.65bn.
Operating profit (EBITDA) rose by 27.93% to Rs1.89bn,
while EBIT improved 11.54% to Rs2.00bn, supported by
higher margins despite an increase in administrative and other operating
expenses.
Finance cost declined 18.24% year-on-year to Rs1.20bn,
providing further relief to the bottom line. As a result, profit before
taxation soared 651.50% to Rs577.74m, while profit before
levy and taxation stood at Rs803.28m, showing robust operational
efficiency.
After accounting for taxation of Rs61.58m, up 53.57%
year-on-year, the company recorded an impressive improvement in net
profitability for the quarter.
