Nestle Pakistan to be part of global Peranel joint venture

July 23, 2026 (MLN): Nestle Pakistan Limited (PSX: NESTLE) will be part of a proposed global transaction under which its majority shareholder, Nestlé S.A., and Platinum Equity will establish Peranel, a 50/50 joint venture for Nestlé's waters and premium beverages business.

The proposed transaction, which remains subject to employee consultation processes and applicable regulatory approvals, is expected to close in the first half of 2027.

Peranel will combine Nestlé's waters and premium beverages business, spanning more than 30 brands sold across 120 countries.

The portfolio includes natural mineral water brands such as S.Pellegrino, Source Perrier and Acqua Panna, alongside premium and functional hydration beverages, the global Nestlé Pure Life brand, and several leading local water brands.

The new company is expected to be headquartered in Paris and led by Muriel Lienau, the current Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé's waters and premium beverages business.

Nestlé's water operations in Pakistan are included in the global business covered by the proposed transaction.

In Pakistan, however, the implementation of the transaction remains subject to, among other things, the execution of definitive agreements and finalization, including the necessary corporate and regulatory approvals.

At this stage, Nestlé Pakistan intends only to incorporate a local entity. Further disclosures will be made if any material developments arise that require notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
