Nestlé Pakistan sees profit uptick

July 25,2025 (MLN): Nestlé Pakistan Limited (PSX: NESTLE) reported a 3.53% increase in profit after tax, amounting to Rs10.42 million (EPS: Rs229.88) for the six-month period ended June 30, 2025, compared to Rs10.07m (EPS: Rs222.05) in the previous year.

The company’s top line fell by 5.94% to Rs101.29m from Rs107.68m in June 2024, while the cost of goods sold declined by 9.07%.

However, the gross profit saw a slight dip of 0.58% to Rs39.53m.

Distribution and selling expenses fell 4.35% to Rs16.77m, while administrative expenses rose by 23.62% to Rs3.66m, putting mixed pressure on profitability.

Consequently, the operating profit declined by 0.87% to Rs19.10m.

Other income decreased by 16.78% to Rs255,436, and finance costs fell sharply by 78.79% to Rs333,178.

Other expenses increased by 17.11% to Rs1.63m, adding to the cost burden.

The company’s profit before taxation stood at Rs17.24m, marking a 4.01% increase, while income tax expenses rose by 4.75% to Rs6.82m.

This resulted in an overall profit growth of 3.53% compared to the previous year.
