October 22, 2026 (MLN): Nestlé Pakistan Limited (PSX: NESTLE) reported a 3%
increase in its net profit for the nine months ended September 30, 2026
(9MCY26), reaching Rs14.53bn compared to Rs14.10bn in the
corresponding period last year.
Reflecting this steady bottom-line growth, basic and diluted earnings per
share (EPS) for the nine-month period expanded to Rs320.31, up from Rs310.81
in 9MCY25.
For the third quarter (Q3CY26) alone, net profit jumped 24% to
Rs4.55bn (EPS of Rs100.27) compared to Rs3.67bn (EPS of Rs80.93) in
Q3CY25.
The company also declared a cash dividend of Rs97 per share.
The primary catalyst supporting the nine-month performance was a 6%
growth in net sales alongside an 8% expansion in gross profit and
lower debt servicing costs.
Net sales for 9MCY26 reached Rs160.26bn, up from Rs150.82bn in
9MCY25. Cost of goods sold increased 5% to Rs98.95bn, allowing gross
profit to reach Rs61.31bn compared to Rs56.71bn in the prior-year
period.
On the operational front, marketing and sales distribution investments
expanded 12% to Rs27.54bn, while administrative expenses were
well-managed, edging up 3% to Rs5.17bn. Operating profit grew 6% to Rs28.61bn.
Below the operating line, NESTLE benefited from debt-servicing relief as
finance costs dropped 25% to Rs338.10m (down from Rs452.78m in 9MCY25).
Supported by a surge in "other income" (Rs939.77m
up from Rs409.00m) and lower other operating expenses of Rs2.43bn,
profit before income tax expanded 10% to Rs26.78bn.
The company absorbed a higher corporate income tax charge of Rs12.25bn
for the period (up 21% from Rs10.16bn in 9MCY25).
Backed by steady top-line growth, treasury income contributions, and debt
cost savings, Nestlé Pakistan Limited securely closed the nine-month period
with its net profit reaching Rs14.53bn.
