NAB recoveries strengthen national exchequer

September 2, 2026 (MLN): Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lieutenant General (Retired) Nazir Ahmed, met Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb at the Ministry of Finance in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the NAB Chairman briefed the Finance Minister on key initiatives undertaken by the country’s accountability watchdog and its contribution to the national exchequer through recoveries made following comprehensive investigations.

Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb appreciated NAB’s efforts and assured the bureau of the Ministry of Finance’s full-fledged support in advancing initiatives aimed at achieving national objectives.

The meeting also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening accountability and safeguarding public resources through effective institutional cooperation.
