Mustafa Ramday named PSO chairman

November 06, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO) has a reconstituted board of management headed by Mustafa Ramday as chairman and independent member, after the federal government reshaped it with immediate effect for a three-year term.

The government effected the change through a Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) notification, No. 5(6)-2008-CA-I-0004, dated November 5, 2026.

Besides Mustafa Ramday, the independent members on the ten-member board are Muneeb-ul-Haq, Aftab Hussain, Imtiaz Hussain Kazi and Saira Shahid Hussain.

The ex-officio seats go to the secretaries of the Petroleum, Power and Finance Divisions, or their representatives not below BS-20, whose names the ministry is yet to convey.

The chief executive officer of Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL), currently Masood Nabi, also sits on the board ex-officio.

PSO’s chief executive officer, currently Jawwad Ahmed Cheema, joins as the executive member.

With the reconstitution, outgoing chairman Asif Baigmohamed and independent members Dr Ayesha Waqar, Mushtaq Malik and Ahmed Jamal Mir ceased to be board members from November 6, 2026.

The company said the status of the existing ex-officio members will be communicated once the ministry provides details.

The aforementioned information was disseminated through a notification to Exchange.
