Mughal Energy early settles Rs1.8bn long-term loan

June 29, 2026 (MLN): Mughal Energy Limited (PSX:GEMMEL) has early settled Rs1,858.3 million of its outstanding long-term loan, with the remaining Rs661.67 million to continue as per previously agreed terms and conditions.

The aforementioned information was disseminated through a notification to Exchange.

The company also recently in April, marked a significant operational milestone as turbine rolling commenced at the hybrid power plant, signalling the start of phased power generation and system testing.

The process involves gradual electricity generation alongside load and reliability assessments, system stability checks, and safety standards compliance testing marking the project's transition from construction to initial commissioning activities.
