April 30, 2026 (MLN): Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited (PSX: LOTCHEM) has successfully commissioned a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project.

This marked a strategic move to enhance operational efficiency and reduce energy costs, the company disclosed to Pakistan Stock Exchange today.

The newly installed system is designed to improve energy reliability, streamline load management, and reduce reliance on high-cost backup electricity, particularly during peak demand or outages.

The initiative underscores the company’s broader focus on sustainability and cost optimization, aligning with rising industry trends toward energy-efficient industrial operations.

With this development, Lotte Chemical positions itself to better manage energy volatility while strengthening its long-term cost structure, an increasingly critical factor amid fluctuating power tariffs in Pakistan.
