Khyber Tobacco signs MoU with Korea's KT&G

July 06, 2026 (MLN): Khyber Tobacco Company Limited (KHTC) has initially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KT&G Corporation, Republic of Korea, for the grant of a royalty license in respect of KT&G's cigarette brand "Pine Passion Sky."

The MoU will be followed by a formal agreement on the proposed licensing arrangement, under which KHTC intends to manufacture and/or market the "Pine Passion Sky" brand in Pakistan and other mutually agreed territories, subject to execution of definitive agreements, regulatory approvals, and customary commercial conditions.

The company said the signing of the agreement will be promptly disclosed on PUCARS of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The company stated that it remains optimistic the strategic collaboration could strengthen its product portfolio, enhance its competitive position, and support future business growth.

Further details, where required, will be disclosed in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements upon execution of the definitive agreements or occurrence of any material developments, the company added.
