Karachi to get Pakistan’s largest public facilitation centre

September 30, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan plans to establish the country’s largest public facilitation centre under the Federal Ministry of Interior in Karachi, bringing multiple government services under one roof.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed authorities to prepare and submit the master plan for the proposed Grand Facilitation Centre within 10 days.

The facility is expected to provide citizens access to counters of departments and organizations operating under the Ministry of Interior.

Services will include passport processing, Computerized National Identity Card services, arms licences, various no-objection certificates and other public services.

Mohsin Naqvi directed authorities to incorporate all necessary requirements into the master plan and ensure arrangements for establishing the centre.

The proposed one-window facility is intended to consolidate services that citizens currently access through different departments and locations.

The development could reduce the need for citizens to visit multiple government offices for services falling under the Interior Ministry.

The Interior Minister visited the Ministry of Interior office on I.I. Chundrigar Road in Karachi, where he reviewed arrangements related to the proposed facility.
