June RLNG prices jump 66% YoY

July 06, 2026 (MLN): Weighted average RLNG prices on the SNGPL network rose 66% YoY in June 2026, driven by elevated oil prices, one spot cargo imports by Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL), and higher terminal charges.

The RLNG cost stood at $15.56/mmbtu, with the delivered ex-ship (DES) LNG price at $13.14/mmbtu and PSO/PLL margins of 2.50% adding $0.33/mmbtu.

After other charges of $2.09/mmbtu, the RLNG price without GST worked out to $17.43/mmbtu, once the cost of supply to SNGPL ($0.64/mmbtu) and SSGC ($0.22/mmbtu) is factored in along with other charges of $1.01/mmbtu.

According to data compiled by Arif Habib Limited (AHL) Research, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) imported three long-term LNG cargoes during the month, with RLNG volumes averaging 309 mmcfd at a slope of 13.37% of Brent up from the earlier Qatar contract slope of 10.20%.

The import value per cargo was calculated at $53.51m, taking the overall import value to $165.08m for the month.

PLL, meanwhile, imported one spot cargo of 26 mmcfd at a slope of 19.2% to DES, supplementing domestic RLNG supply amid continued volatility in spot markets.

Notably, no cargo was imported in April 2026, emphasizing the intermittent nature of RLNG supply during the period under review.

The trend data shows RLNG quantities and overall, LNG prices have both come off their December 2025-January 2026 peaks, when volumes touched nearly 1,150 mmcfd, before easing through the first half of calendar year 2026.
