JDW Sugar Mills joins consortium for FESCO privatisation bid

August 20, 2026 (MLN): JDW Sugar Mills Limited (PSX: JDWS) has been approached to join a consortium led by Pakgen Limited in relation to the Request for Statement of Qualification (RSOQ), as amended or supplemented from time to time, issued by the Privatisation Commission for the divestment of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company Limited (FESCO) through privatisation.

The company has resolved to join the proposed consortium by amending the Statement of Qualification to participate in the FESCO privatisation process.

The consortium, led by Pakgen Limited as the lead member, comprises the following members: Pakgen Limited, Nishat Mills Limited, Lalpir Limited, Nishat Power Limited, Nishat Chunian Power Limited, Kohinoor Energy Limited, Pak Elektron Limited, JDW Sugar Mills Limited, Deharki Sugar Mills (Private) Limited, and ATF Agri Sciences (Private) Limited.

As at the date of the notice, the company has not assumed any binding obligation in respect of the transaction, which remains subject to pre-qualification by the Privatisation Commission and to all requisite corporate and regulatory approvals.

The company stated it shall keep the PSX informed of material developments in this regard.
