IGI Holdings completes acquisition of 98% stake in Akzo Nobel Pakistan

September 30, 2026 (MLN): IGI Holdings Limited (PSX:IGIHL)has completed the acquisition of a 98.31% stake in Akzo Nobel Pakistan Limited through its wholly-owned subsidiary, IGI Investments (Private) Limited, after paying a purchase price of Rs15.246 bn on September 30, 2026.

The company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) of the development in a notice issued under Sections 96 and 131 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Regulation 5.6.1(a) of the PSX Rule Book.

The shares were bought from ICI Omicron B.V., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Akzo Nobel N.V., under the Share Purchase Agreement, which was covered in an earlier disclosure dated April 16, 2026.

The transaction was closed once all applicable laws and corporate and regulatory requirements were met, including clearance from the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP).

IGI Investments also plans to acquire the remaining 1.69% shares of Akzo Nobel Pakistan held by minority shareholders through separate arrangements.
