Hyundai hybrid prices rise by over Rs2m

August 12, 2026 (MLN): A 25% sales tax on applicable vehicles under the Federal Budget FY2026-27 has driven Hyundai Nishat Motor (Private) Limited to revise ex-factory prices across its hybrid lineup with effect from August 12, 2026, pushing costs up by over 15% across every model in the range.

The steepest jump hits the Santa Fe Hybrid Signature AWD, now dearer by Rs2.128 million (up 15.21%), taking its ex-factory price to Rs16.123m.

The Santa Fe Hybrid Smart FWD follows with a Rs1.924m hike (15.21%), landing at Rs14.574m.

On the Tucson front, the Signature AWD variant rises by Rs1.861m (15.20%) to Rs14.101m, while the Smart FWD trim climbs by Rs1.706m (15.20%) to Rs12.926m.

The Elantra Hybrid, the most accessible of the lot, still sees a sharp Rs1.505m increase (15.21%), now priced at Rs11.4m.

There is, however, a silver lining for buyers moving fast. To coincide with Pakistan's 79th Independence Day, the company has rolled out a limited-time "Azadi Promotional Offer," valid till August 31, 2026, offering discounts that soften the blow considerably.
