Haroon Akhtar appointed Adviser to PM on Industries and Production

August 11, 2026 (MLN): The President has
appointed Haroon Akhtar as Adviser to the Prime Minister, with the status of
Federal Minister, with immediate effect, in exercise of the powers conferred by
clause (1) of Article 93 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of
Pakistan.
The Cabinet Division issued the notification in, stating
that as Adviser to the Prime Minister, Haroon Akhtar shall hold the portfolio
of Industries and Production.
Consequent upon his appointment, Haroon Akhtar shall
cease to hold office of Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, with the
Division's earlier notifications dated February 27 and March 7, 2025, standing
superseded to this extent.
