October 08, 2026 (MLN): Haji Mohammad Ismail Mills Limited (PSX:HMIM) has no fixed assets to start commercial production, while its management has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for a reverse merger with SEGO Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd to revive the company.

The merger is subject to approval by the High Court of Sindh, and other formalities are in process.

The company submitted a progress report for the quarters ended June 30, 2026 and September 30, 2026 in a letter to the Listed Companies Compliance Department of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The report came in response to a PSX letter dated October 2, 2026.

A winding-up petition was filed against the company by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in the High Court of Sindh in 2017, and PSX suspended trading in its shares in November of that year.

The company is defending the case, which remains sub judice before the court.
